I've been a user of DrivePool and Scanner for 2-3 years now and it makes my life SO much easier. Everything just works. You can throw any size, make or model of hard drive at it to increase your storage size in seconds. Gone were the days of RAID and all the complexities and compatibility issues associated with it. DrivePool also saves space by allowing you to selectively duplicate only your most important data so you don't end up wasting space duplicating the replaceable unimportant files. the product is very well thought-out and works in conjunction with Scanner to protect your data and alert you, and move your precious memories to a safe place should one of your hard drives start experiencing problems. Between the two programs it is ideal for the budget-conscious buyer, being able to reuse old hard drives or purchase smaller drives if you're on a budget and you can rest easy knowing everything is safe. My home server currently runs 11 hard drives of various brands and capacities and DrivePool never skips a beat. If you need support, they are very quick and efficient in their replies and any queries I've had have been resolved within a couple of hours. This is software done right, made by a company that cares.
